Multi-dimensional promotion through video recording and publishing

This concept was first mentioned to Katherine at the store of Steinway Piano Gallery, 12033 Dorsett Road
Saint LouisMO 63043, after a gathering of Rubinstein Music Cluc, on April 20, 2017.

The concepts:

  1. Promote the knowledge around piano to maintain and grow the market of piano and piano-related activities, including sales and maintenance at the same time support the growth of piano-related professions and business. 
  2. Utilize the public-accessible video-sharing platform, such as youtube.com, to publicize the piano related video recording.
  3. Utilize the many lines of professionals as well as fans of music to produce and form a huge platform for informationi sharing, or voluntary advertisement, including knowledge, experiences, reference, or recommendation.
  4. Utilize many levels of expertise and cost to produce and provide many levels of promotional information, i.e., advertisements, guidance, introduction, ....
  5. Connect all the lines of professionals, expertise, and markets into one big field of career enhancement, adcancement, development, training, through voluntary mutual-helping among the gardeners of hope.
The major activities:
  1. Recruit piano owners, including the piano stores (new, used, or re-built), the organizations that own pianos, the individual piano owners for showing their pianos in educational video recording.
  2. Recruit piano performers and speakers, including the professional performers, the amateur piano players, the music teachers, the music students, piano sales persons, piano technicians, piano movers, etc.
  3. Recruit video photographers, both the amateurs and the professional for hiring.
  4. Produce sample videos along with interpretation of the project sharable in public to support the recruitments.
  5. Schedule piano action-show/talk, e.g., tuning, repairment, moving, etc. /performance sessions staffed with video recording technicians.
  6. Edit and produce sharable video clips.
  7. Publicize and write about the recording.
  8. Consult attourneies for precautionary measures, e.g., contractual agreements among the people involved, to minimize negative effects in handling the activities.
The potential content of recording and the related documentation: (see the separate paragraphs for the processing of the recording.)
  1. General knowledge of piano, the piano markets, piano stores, piano sales persons, business transactions involving piano, etc.
  2. The characteristics of individual piano, through demonstrative playing by the pianist in the show room or where a piano resides. The playing could be full-scale performance of a music piece of simply short sections that could help people see and feel the quality of the instrument.
  3. The characteristics of individual piano-related professional, in terms of their knowledge, styles of communiation, quality of interpretative skills, etc.
  4. The traits or the history of individual instruments involved, including the model name and the serial number or other forms of identification.
  5. The people involved in the recording, for history's sake and as personal memory.
  6. The caption of verbage and, perhaps, additional on-screen notes, in multiple languages.
  7. The written documents that support the content of recording.
  8. The continuous discussion around the recorded content, including the related videos, e.g., same piece of music on other pianos, by difference players, etc.
The publication/circulation of the recording:
  1. The recording is better cut into multiple files of small size with focus or topic.
  2. The platforms that are acceptable to all involved, such as paid or unpaid websites, youtbue or facebook, etc.
  3. DVDs that can be duplicated at low cost
  4. Video files on flash drives.
  5. Maintain a catalog and index of all being recorded and shared for future search and retrievable, especially the ones that help promoting the people.
